Dress Rehearsal Information
Dress rehearsals take place on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 at the Kennedy Middle School in Waltham.
- Dress rehearsals for our 10:30 am recital show will take place on Friday, June 7 at starting at 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
- Dress rehearsals for our 1:30 pm recital show will take place on Friday, June 7 starting at 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
- Dress rehearsals for our 4:30 am recital show will take place on Thursday, June 6 starting at 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Dancers should arrive dressed in their recital costume, with their correct color tights and their correct color dance shoes depending on dance style (pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes, black jazz shoes, and Converse hip hop sneakers) in their dance bag. Please contact us if you do not know the color of tights your child should wear on rehearsal and recital day. We sell tights and dance shoes at our studio.
We recommend having hair done the same way it would be on recital day. We prefer buns for girls, but neat pony tails are also acceptable, especially for hip hop and acro. Make-up is suggested but not required.
We run rehearsals on a very tight schedule and cannot repeat any dance routines for students who run late so please arrive a few minutes before the scheduled time noted above, ready to dance in costume with hair and make-up done.
A family member must stay with our younger dancers during our dress rehearsals to help with shoe/costume changes. Rehearsals is your only chance to stand up & take photos/video of your child. During recital everyone MUST remain seated. We do not allow flash photography at the recital and iPads/other large electronic devices including tripods are not permitted in the auditorium on recital day. Gary Antle Productions will be video taping the recital and DVDs will be available for sale.
We will not be scheduling class photos this year. However, one of our dance parents is a professional photographer and will take professional dancer photos at the same venue on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Photos are voluntary. There is no sitting fee. All we ask is that you make dress rehearsals your priority and only have photos taken well before or after your child has rehearsed on stage.
