Meet the Team!
Maria started her dance training at Andrea’s Dance Studio in New York. She studied ballet, tap, and jazz, attended various dance competitions and conventions, and eventually became an assistant dance teacher. When she began her college education at Fordham University, she enrolled in classes at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and after earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance, she began her career in the financial services industry in New York City. Although Maria had a very successful career in Finance, dance always remained a high-priority. While living in New York City and in between her business trips around the U.S. and overseas, Maria took dance classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway.
In 2008, Maria decided to embark on a new journey. She left the corporate world, relocated to Boston and began teaching dance at local area schools. Shortly thereafter, she came to realize her true passion
Twyla’s dance career began over 25 years. As a child, Twyla performed with “The Daragee Drum and Acon con” Professional West African Ballet. As a young adult Twyla received a Masters Certification of Techniques at the
Natasha trained in England at the Stella Mann College of Performing Arts and performed professionally throughout the UK.
Andrea grew up in Smithfield, Rhode Island and has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelor of Science in entrepreneurship and a minor in dance.
Jaime is a dance teacher and choreographer from Boston, MA. She teaches all ages and all styles of dance, however her specialty is in Hip Hop.
Kelly began dancing at the age of 2 at the American Dance Experience in Hamden, CT. She danced competitively in tap, ballet, jazz and lyrical/contemporary in both local and national competitions.
Brenna began dancing at the age of three at I’ve Got Rhythm Dance Center in Dartmouth, MA. At IGRDC she trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, hip hop, modern and contemporary, competing from 2000-2002 at competitions.
Angeliquc teaches gymnastics and dance in the Cambridge and Boston areas. She is originally from Cambridge and is well known in the area as Miss Gymnastics.
Leah Abbott started her dance training at South Carolina Dance Theatre under Susan Rowe in classical ballet. She later attended the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities where she studied under Irina Ushakova, Miriam Mesa-pelly, Thomas Shoemaker, Josee Garant, and Tracy Vogt.
Amanda is a choreographer, dancer, and artist living in Boston, MA. Her dance training began in her hometown of Salem, New Hampshire at the Carlene Nazarian Dance School.
Emma is originally from Cape Cod, MA. Her dance training began at Reaching Heart School of Ballet, where she practiced ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip hop, and tap.
A Celtics dancer and a former New England Patriots cheerleader, Alena graduated with her BA in Dance from Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts.
Paul began his dance training with a traditional Chinese dance and acrobatics troupe studying traditional folk dance, hand-balance acrobatics, and tumbling.
